Ganesh Chaturthi Recipes: MODAK
Ingredients required for ganesh chaturthi Modak
For the outer area or called shell- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of maida or ATTA
- 2 tsp ghee
- 1 cup of grated jaggery or liquid jaggery
- 1 cup of grated coconut
- 1/2 cup Yellu [white sesame seeds]
- Mix jaggery and grated coconut and heat it for 5mins till it gets hard or sticky. Add sesame seeds and cardamom powder for flavour. Mix well, stir well.
- After finishing the heating process. Make small laddos of this mixture. Small stuffed balls which can be put inside the shell.
Preparating of ganesh chaturthi receipe:
- Take a dish and boil ghee. Add pinch of salt and sugar and maida and mix it well along with sufficient water and Make it a hard mixture.
- After completing the mixture of maida.
- You have to make small chapati like structure or puri like structure.
- Now add the previously prepared inside filling into these small chapati like structure. [Put the filling inside it]
- Now close the fillings making it closing flower or I will show you the exact picture of how to do make the finishing
Once your are done with this you have deep fry in ghee or oil. Its a custom of frying in ghee for ganesh
